About Us
From Kiran & Usha — Our Story
Namaste. We’re Kiran Kumari and Usha Jalan, two samdhans (Mother-in Law), two kitchens, one shared worry:
Families are eating in a hurry, and fast food is quietly taking the place of the roti that once brought everyone to the table.
"I still remember the sound of the belan on the chakla every evening. These days, I see my children and grandchildren reaching for “quick” food. It fills the stomach, but not the heart." - Kiran
"And I’d think, why should health mean giving up the taste of home? Can’t our everyday roti care for us, just a little more?" - USha
So we asked ourselves a simple question:
Can we keep the roti exactly the same, and make the aata smarter?
That question became Art of Aata under Kiran Usha Foods Pvt. Ltd.
We didn’t change the ritual: belan, tawa, phulka, the soft press with a cloth, sab wahi.
We changed just one thing: the aata
What we set out to do
We wanted an aata that’s gentle on sugar and steady on energy, without touching the taste we grew up with. No fad diets, no big promises. Just one everyday decision that fits into real Indian kitchens.
-
Low GI, in simple words: it’s gentler on your sugar and helps avoid sudden energy crashes after meals.
-
Same recipes: rotis, parathas, pooris: no new learning needed.
-
Same comfort: that familiar softness and aroma on the tawa.
Roti nahi. Aata badlo.
Change the flour, not the memory.

Why this matters to us:
We aren’t chefs or celebrities. We’re mothers who believe the roti can still be the center of a healthy plate. For parents watching their sugar, for kids who need steady energy, for all of us who love ghar ka khana, this is our small, everyday act of care.
Our promise to your kitchen
-
Taste first: If it doesn’t taste like home, it doesn’t leave our kitchen.
-
Gentle by design: Crafted to be low GI—to be kinder to your post-meal sugar.
-
Everyday practical: Works with your usual atta habits—no complicated steps.
- Honest & simple: Clear labels, no noise, no shortcuts.

From our hands to yours
We made this for our own families first.
And now, for yours.
If you believe in keeping tradition on the plate and care in every bite, pull up a chair.
Let the roti stay the same.
Let the aata get better.
